Congratulations to Deron Jodrey for receiving Ohio Valley ABC Craft Professional of the Year Finalist recognition for 2019.
Deron is a seasoned and passionate Journeymen and one of our top Foremen. He strives to be the best at what he does every day. He started with CINFAB in 1992 and has been an excellent employee for 27 years, a Foremen for around 20. As a Foremen, he always delivers on time and under budget. Deron’s jobs have an outstanding safety record as well. He continuously works with the customer as a problem solver. His dedication to the trade is admirable and unwavering. Deron is always the first one on the job site and the last one to leave. Quality will never be sacrificed on Deron’s projects.
Excellence – Day in and Day Out
As a Foreman for CINFAB, Deron tackles all the foremen duties proficiently. He assures all employees have a safe workplace and are following all safety standards. Deron also plans out the work ahead to evaluate all safety concerns and to make sure the men have the correct tools for the job. He shares any lessons learned during his morning tool box talks. He monitors the jobsite daily to be sure we are meeting all installation specifications, are coordinating with all trades, and supervising the productivity of the ductwork being installed and the manpower on the job. Deron not only meets the requirements for a CINFAB Foreman but exceeds all expectations of our management team.
CINFAB’s Foremen are leaders within our field work force and Deron is no exception. He is our most tenured Foreman and a great leader and planner. Deron is always demonstrating control on the jobsite over any and all situations. His experience lends to his quick thinking and finding solutions. Deron has adapted well to the everchanging technology of today. He utilizes BIM and Trimble and has familiarized himself with other types of applications, such as those that allow him to view drawings on his iPad.
Deron has become an excellent mentor over the years. He is hands-on with all journeymen and mentors both apprentices and young journeymen. He assists the field employees not only in their careers, but in their everyday lives. All journeymen and apprentices that Deron encounters become better sheet metal workers. He keeps our work force on the top of their game.
Deron’s background
Starting as a plumber, Deron has worked his way up through the ranks and is now one of our most seasoned veterans. He has successfully run many projects for CINFAB, including various medical centers and a large project for General Electric. His most recent successful job was the Cincinnati Union Terminal Renovation project. This renovation was extremely challenging due to the nature of the renovation and the fact that the building was kept open to the public. He was the perfect Foreman for the job, and he ran it flawlessly.
Deron has taken many various training programs over his years with CINFAB, including numerous Supervisory Training Programs (S.T.P.). He also has his OSHA 30, his CPR certification, and a Bloodborne Pathogen certification. Deron has also taken Lift and Lull training. He also manages to find time to participate in an office committee to standardize CINFAB’s procedures and policies.
In his free time, Deron serves as a volunteer firefighter for his community.
Congratulations again for this recognition from the Ohio Valley ABC Craft association.
